New ZHYTO shopping center opens in Zhytomyr

On April 19, the official opening of the new ZHYTO shopping center from the BGV Group Management group of companies headed by Gennady Butkevych took place in Zhytomyr. In March, BGV Development, a member of the group, completed the reconstruction of the shopping center premises in Zhytomyr, which lasted six months. The shopping center is located in the historical district of Zhytomyr – Kroshnya and has a convenient location: at the intersection of Otamaniv Sokolovskyh Street and Nezalezhnosti Avenue. At the time of the opening, the shopping center was 97% full. The concept development and exclusive brokerage of the project were performed by UTG.
The new shopping center has a total area of 3811 sq.m and is built according to the principle of a retail park: it has separate entrances to stores from the street, parking near the facades, convenient location of stores for quick access, as well as open architecture without common internal galleries, as in classic SECs. The center has a two-level concept – basement and first floors. For the convenience of guests and the inclusivity of the premises, a sight elevator was installed in “ZHYTO”.
The center has areas for 15 stores and cafes: companies of different price categories and segments are represented here, including outlets of famous brands. Among the companies present in the SC: ATB supermarket, Sinsay modern clothing store (LPP Group), Prostor home goods and cosmetics chain, Andi and Obrana clothing and underwear stores by Anabel Arto, the largest multimarket in Zhytomyr “Avrora”, My Flora flower boutique, LAPA pet store, as well as cafes and pharmacies. It is expected that the shopping center will be visited by about 120 thousand guests per month.
“BGV Development continues to actively renovate and build new commercial facilities, in particular, strengthening the regional retail infrastructure. Since 2024, we have begun implementing a new format for us – retail parks – a network of small shopping complexes in small towns and district centers. We hope that this will not only bring big brands to small settlements, but also give a boost to the regional economy, in particular by increasing turnover and the number of jobs. For example, thanks to the construction of the ZHYTO SC, more than 180 jobs have been created,” notes Maksym Kovalenko, director of BGV Development.
In the near future, the company plans to open similar retail parks not only in the Zhytomyr region.
