In the new year of 2024, the turnover of retail trade in Ukraine will continue to grow by an average of 10% in hryvnias,&#8221; Loktionova predicts. At the same time, according to the forecasts of the Department of Strategic Consulting of the UTG company, the dollar exchange rate will increase by about 10% and will average 39 UAH\/$. Loktionova noted that during the two years of the war, players in the commercial real estate market gained experience in survival and adaptation, most of them became flexible and adaptable to rapidly changing situations. Therefore, according to analysts of the UTG company, despite serious challenges, commercial real estate withstood, maintained the turnover of retail trade and even demonstrated positive dynamics.<\/p>\n<p>Thus, according to the Department of Strategic Consulting of the UTG company, the turnover of the retail trade of Ukraine for the three quarters of 2023 amounted to 1 trillion 291 billion 065.2 million UAH, which is +25.32% in relation to the same period in 2022, and is practically close to the results all of 2021 (1 trillion 443 billion 832.9 million UAH). The YoY consumer price index (change over the year) was 10.0% in 2021, 26.6% in 2022, and 3.8% in 2023. The company emphasizes that the increase in retail trade turnover is observed against the background of maintaining the average annual exchange rate of the NBU against the hryvnia. The positive dynamics of the turnover of retail trade is largely maintained thanks to the growth of the consumer sentiment index of Ukrainians from 83.9 in 2022 to 84.9 at the end of 2023.<\/p>\n<p>According to the experts of the UTG company, such indicators became possible as a result of changes in the attitude of Ukrainians to the fundamental values of life, which led to the rejection of the formation of savings and the implementation of the &#8220;here and now&#8221; concept. Also, the growth of turnover is affected by the costs of forced purchases (goods during evacuation, solar panels, generators) and the accumulation of stocks of food and hygiene products in case of store closures or problems with logistics. &#8220;The growth of retail turnover will continue in 2024, the main segment in the structure of growth will be such goods as clothing and footwear,&#8221; Loktionova believes.<\/p>\n<p>The UTG company was established in 2001. Developed more than 1,300 concepts of real estate objects.
